The Student Conservation Association (SCA) is honored to host US Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire for a roundtable discussion and Q&A on outdoor jobs. The private event will be held on Wednesday, August 7, from 3:00-4:00 p.m., at the SCA National Conservation Center in Charlestown, NH. In addition to Sen. Shaheen, speakers will include SCA Sr. VP for Program Bob Coates and a representative of the Outdoor Industry Association.
As an SCA alum, I am confident you share SCA’s concerns about today’s tight job market especially for younger workers seeking to enter the conservation and outdoor fields. This is your chance to discuss the need for more service and career opportunities on public lands for young people, particularly in New Hampshire! We hope you’ll join us as we explore potential solutions and opportunities.
