Note from Carrie Roble, Dir. of Environmental Education & Stewardship at the Park:

Your efforts will have both immediate and lasting impacts here in the Hudson River Park. The flow and ebb of Hurricane Sandy’s floodwaters stripped the Park’s gardens and vegetative spaces bare. You will be part of a work crew restoring topsoil and mulch to plant beds. For the many thousands who use the Park each day, this “re-beautification” will be a strong step forward for the visual restoration of the Park’s grounds. For the plants here in the Park, the soil and mulch addition will provide structure, nutrients, and a covering essential to plant survival over the winter months ahead. We greatly appreciate your efforts in helping us restore the Park.

We look forward to seeing you there!
