On Saturday, April 25th, members of the the Student Conservation Association’s Milwaukee Conservation Leadership Corps will join Urban Ecology Centers of Milwaukee for an Earth Day service project at UEC Washington Park.
The UEC Washington Park site was opened in 2007 to serve neighborhood schools and the public with year-round riverfront environmental education programs. Applicants for this year’s SCA Milwaukee Conservation Leadership Corps are invited out for Earth Day to try out conservation service working side-by-side with SCA leaders. Students will remove invasive species, mulch tree pits, and build new garden beds and compost bins.
