Come celebrate Earth Day with the Student Conservation Association through a day of service at Washington Park Arboretum and UW Botanical Gardens in Seattle. Volunteers will work to improve the health of this public green space with a variety of hands-on projects around the arboretum.
WHEN: Saturday, April 25th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: Washington Park Arboretum, 2300 Arboretum Drive East, Seattle, WA 98112. (#43 or #48 bus to 24th Ave East at Lynn Street.) Meet at the Meadow just west of the Graham Visitor Center.
WHAT: Volunteers will complete a variety of volunteer projects around the arboretum.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably work boots or sturdy sneakers. Bring rain gear, sunscreen, a packed lunch, and a reusable water bottle.
PROVIDED: SCA will provide bagels and coffee in the morning, as well as Earth Day t-shirts!
