Pittsburgh, PA: Earth Day Service at McKinley Park

Join SCA as we team up with Economic Development South and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to celebrate Earth Day with a day of service at McKinley Park in Pittsburgh.

Volunteers will improve this urban community space by, pulling invasive plants and vines, picking up trash, and helping to maintain hiking trails. 

WHEN: Saturday, April 23rd, 9:00am to 12:00pm 

WHERE: McKinley Park, 900 Delmont Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. (Meet in the Upper Parking Lot.)

WHAT: Volunteers will work to preserve McKinley Park by pulling invasive plants and vines, picking up trash, and helping to maintain hiking trails. 

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably work boots or sturdy sneakers, and bring a reusable water bottle. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather! Minors must be accompanied by an adult. 

PROVIDED: SCA will provide lunch for all volunteers, as well as project materials, tools and gloves.
