Pittsburgh, PA: Earth Day Service at South Side Park

Join SCA as we team up with the South Side Slopes Neighborhood Association, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, and City Parks to celebrate Earth Day with a day of service at beautiful South Side Park in Pittsburgh.

Volunteers will improve this urban community space by pulling invasive plants and vines, picking up trash, and helping to maintain hiking trails. 

WHEN: Saturday, April 23rd, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm 

WHERE: South Side Park, Saber Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. (Kickoff will take place at South Side Sabers / Quarry Field Parking Lot.) 

WHAT: Volunteers will work to preserve South Side Park by pulling invasive plants and vines, picking up trash, and helping to maintain hiking trails. 

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably work boots or sturdy sneakers, and bring a reusable water bottle. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather! Minors must be accompanied by an adult. 

PROVIDED: SCA will provide lunch for all volunteers, as well as project materials and work gloves.
