SEATTLE, WA: SCA Earth Day at Washington Park Arboretum

This April, SCA is hosting 60 projects for Earth Day in honor of 60 years of SCA

With national support from Southwest Airlines and American Express, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.

In Seattle, volunteers will be working to help restore Washington Park Arboretum. Join us to ConSERVE this local green space and preserve its natural beauty for future generations!


WHEN: Saturday, April 21st, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm 

WHERE: Washington Park Arboretum, 2300 Arboretum Drive East, Seattle, WA 98112. (#43 or #48 bus to 24th Ave East at Lynn Street.) Meet at Crabapple Meadow just south of the Graham Visitor Center.

WHAT: Volunteers will restore the Washington Park Arboretum through planting, mulching, removing invasive species, and maintaining trails throughout the arboretum.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably work boots or sturdy sneakers, and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!

PROVIDED: SCA will provide coffee and snacks for volunteers, as well as project materials and work gloves.
