This April, the Student Conservation Association (SCA) is hosting 60 projects for Earth Day in honor of 60 years of SCA!
With national support from Southwest Airlines and American Express, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.
In Pittsburgh, SCA will work in partnership with Friends of South Side Park and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to participate in the annual cleanup of South Side Park. Join us to ConSERVE this local green space!
WHEN: Sunday, April 22nd, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
WHERE: South Side Park, Greeley Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15210
WHAT: SCA will work in partnership with Friends of South Side Park and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to clean up South Side Park by mulching and removing invasive species.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!
PROVIDED: All project materials, tools, and gloves will be provided along with snacks and SCA t-shirts for volunteers.
