This April, SCA is hosting 60 projects for Earth Day in honor of 60 years of SCA!
With national support from Southwest Airlines and American Express, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.
In Miami, volunteers will participate in disaster relief work by working to restore the native forests and tidal swamps of Barnacle Historic State Park, a park still recovering from Hurricane Irma. Join us to ConSERVE this local green space and preserve its natural beauty for future generations to enjoy!
WHEN: Tuesday, April 10th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
WHERE: Barnacle Historic State Park, 3485 Main Hwy, Miami, FL 33133
WHAT: Volunteers will remove storm debris and invasive species from the tropical hardwood forests and tidal swamps of Barnacle Historic State Park.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!
PROVIDED: All project materials, tools, and gloves will be provided.
