WASHINGTON, DC: SCA Earth Day at the Anacostia River Festival – SEED BALLS

Sunday, April 15, 2018 - April 15, 2018 1:00 pm

This April, SCA is hosting 60 projects for Earth Day in honor of 60 years of SCA

With national support from Southwest Airlines and American Express, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.

Join SCA in DC at the Anacostia River Festival to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Anacostia Park and the Year of the Anacostia—a year-long invitation to honor history. Festival activities will include: boating, fishing workshops, hands-on art projects, musical performances, bike parades, and other unique programs engaging families with the river, its history and ecology. This FREE event aims to encourage District residents and tourists alike to explore communities and parks east of the Anacostia River.

Stop by SCA’s table to meet SCA staff and alumni, learn more about SCA programs in the DC area, and participate in hands-on activities!

***This event is a public festival — all festival participants are invited to stop by SCA’s table. If you are interested in helping to table for the full day, please contact Abby Brokaw at [email protected].***
