Join the Student Conservation Association and John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge to celebrate Earth Day by participating in the annual Darby Creek Clean-Up! Individuals, families, groups, companies, and other organizations are welcomed to volunteer their time in stewardship of public lands. Volunteers are an essential part of sustaining Heinz Refuge for wildlife and future generations to enjoy.
This event is part of a regional clean-up effort in partnership with the Darby Creek Valley Association (DCVA). Donations from Friends of Heinz Refuge, the Waste Management Corporation, and Pennsylvania DOT support the clean-up of over eight tons of trash each year. The entire Darby Creek Watershed benfits from this annual spring cleaning!
