Join the Student Conservation Association and the National Park Service to celebrate Earth Day through service at Fort DuPont Park! Volunteers will clean up litter around the park, remove invasive species, and maintain gardens and trails.
WHEN: Saturday, April 19th, 9:30 am to 1:00 pm
WHERE: Fort DuPont Park (meet at Activity Center, 3600 F & Minnesota St. SE, Washington, DC 20019)
WHAT: Trash pick-up, invasive plant removal, garden and trail maintenance.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear closed-toe shoes and long-sleeved shirts and bring your own reusable water bottle.
REGISTRATION: Please register online at http://EarthDayDC.eventbrite.com to complete the volunteer waiver.
DIRECTIONS: There is a parking lot located at the Activity Center off of Fort DuPont Drive. Enter the park from the Randle Circle entrance and drive 0.3 miles. Turn left into the parking area. An SCA representative will meet you at the main entrance and lead you to registration. Public transportation options are also available.
