Earth Day Hike-a-Thon at Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY

Join SCA’s partners at Friends of Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx for the fifth annual Earth Day Hike-a-Thon! Participants can choose one of three hiking routes (ranging from an easy 1-mile hike to a strenuous 5-mile hike) on the day of the event. The event will raise funds for the restoration of Van Cortlandt Park’s spectacular hiking trails — including the famed Cross Country Trail, which 100 SCA volunteers helped to improve at December’s ConSERVE NYC event!

$25 Registration Fee includes a Hike-a-Thon t-shirt, water and snacks at the event, and an expertly guided hike of this beautiful park. Participants will also receive Goody Bags containing special SCA bling! 

WHEN: Saturday, April 26th, 9:45am. End time depends upon length of chosen hike.

WHERE: Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY 10471. Meet at the park entrance at Broadway and W. 242nd Street, near the 242nd St (last) stop on the #1 train.

WHAT: Hiking to raise funds for trail restoration!

BRING WITH YOU: Wear sturdy shoes for hiking and dress appropriately for the weather.

PROVIDED: Participants receive Hike-a-Thon t-shirts and goody bags including special SCA bling! Water and snacks will also be provided.
