Crosscut Saw Sharpening Course

Tuesday, March 21, 2017 - March 23, 2017 4:00 pm

In partnership with Chapman’s Crosscut Saws, SCA is offering a three-day Crosscut Saw Sharpening Course.

Dolly Chapman has been working with crosscut saws for the U.S. Forest Service for many years and is an expert at sharpening and tuning crosscuts. Recently retired, Dolly is excited to share her expertise, experience, and vast knowledge of crosscuts with anyone who is interested.

This class will focus on sharpening, tuning and overall maintenance and care for crosscut saws. Participants are required to bring their own vise for holding the saw. SCA will send out plans to build your own vise once your registration is complete. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own files and crosscut saws if possible.

A number of lodging options are available within 20 miles of Calpine. View our Lodging Info Sheet (PDF). Food is not provided during this workshop.
