ConSERVE NYC: January Service Event at Morningside Park, Manhattan

Saturday, January 18, 2014 - January 18, 2014 9:30 am

Join SCA for our January ConSERVE NYC event at Morningside Park in Manhattan!

Volunteers will be honoring the Martin Luther King National Day of Service with a morning of conservation work, including laying new mulch in playgrounds and picnic areas, removing branches and other debris, and surveying visitor use in the park.

This event is the fourth in a yearlong series of public service projects hosted by SCA across the five boroughs of New York City. With Saturday conservation projects at new sites each month, ConSERVE NYC offers volunteers the opportunity to help build resiliency in New York City’s public lands—and to network with others who share an interest in urban conservation.
