Join the Student Conservation Association as we gather to ConSERVE Bay Area this MLK Day by mobilizing the next generation of community stewards to help restore our public lands.
In partnership with San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, we will bring together volunteers to beautify Golden Gate Park. Join us to honor the legacy of Dr. King and connect the issues of social and environmental justice as we work together to take care of this community green space.
WHEN: Saturday, January 14th, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. Registration begins at 9:30am, kick-off at 10:00am.
WHERE: Golden Gate Park, 14th Ave East Meadow, 425 John F Kennedy Drive, San Francisco, CA 94118
WHAT: Volunteers will work to beautify Stow Lake, Camilla Garden, and the Botanical Garden areas.
BRING WITH YOU: Wear long pants and sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring extra layers as the event will take place in any weather! Please also bring your own water bottle for staying hydrated.
PROVIDED: SCA will supply hot coffee, snacks, and lunch for volunteers as well as work gloves and all project supplies.
