Want to give back to your community?
SCA is looking for youth volunteers, age 14-19, to participate in a series of single-day trail projects throughout the late winter/early spring. These projects provide fun and exciting opportunities for high school students to get a taste of being on an SCA crew while serving their communities. The expected time commitment is one day, 6-8 hours per day, possibly on Saturdays, Presidents Day, Spring Break, and/or Fridays in the Valley.
Trail work will include brushing using loppers and hand saws to widen corridors and trimming vegetation obstructing the trail. Each day will be split into about 4 hours of volunteer work followed by 2 hours of fun activities on or near the trail (although the volunteer work will be fun, too!). Activities may include skiing, fat biking, snow shoeing, bonfire, etc. SCA will provide all work tools and equipment for the activities.
