Trail building & native plant work with Mount Sutro Stewards
Come get your hands dirty at Mount Sutro! On Saturday, September 19th, we will be joining the Mount Sutro Stewards from 9 am to 1 pm. For decades, neighborhood residents have known and enjoyed the Mount Sutro Open Space, a wilderness area situated in the heart of the city. Its dense 61-acre eucalyptus forest and fog-shrouded slopes are home to an amazing variety of vegetation and wildlife habitat. The summit native plant garden and expanding trail network are a quiet refuge for neighbors, visitors and UCSF students and staff. This project is supported by the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department’s Natural Areas Program. http://www.natureinthecity.org/mtsutro.php
Food & beverages are provided for Mt. Sutro volunteers after the workday. To join us for the day, please call 510-832-1966 x303 or RSVP for Mount Sutro Project to [email protected] and let me know if you would like to carpool.
