It’s the 40th anniversary of Earth Day! Join SCA, Belle Isle Zoo and volunteers from ARAMARK, Southwest Airlines and NBC Universal for a day of fun projects, including outdoor classroom maintenance, timber bench building, rain barrell installation, invasive species removal, split-rail fence repair, and general clean-up. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Directions: Belle Isle Nature Zoo is located at the far end of Belle Isle just northwest of Blue Heron Lagoon. After crossing the bridge to Belle Isle, bear left at the “Welcome to Belle Isle” message board onto Central Avenue. Follow Central past the playscape. After proceeding through the woods, turn left onto Lakeside Drive (a one-way street). The Nature Zoo is on the left, across the street from the golf driving range.’ Belle Isle is located south of Grand Boulevard and East Jefferson.
