Join SCA, Boston Parks and Recreation, and the Mattahunt Elementary School for a day of trash and debris removal, trail work, and invasive, non-native plant species removal.
The Mattahunt Woods, a 5-acre wooded area adjacent to the school, was once the site of illegal and environmentally harmful dumping. Thanks to involved neighbors and local community organizations who fought hard for city protection of the land, the area is now a valuable resource for learning and recreation.
We will gather at 9:30 am and work until about 3 pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
We have reached our capacity for volunteers for this event, so registration is now closed. Please join us next year!
