SACRAMENTO, CA: SCA Earth Day at Southside Park - SEED BALLS

Sunday, April 22, 2018 - 11:00am
Southside Park
700 T Street
Sacramento, CA 95818

This April, SCA is hosting 60 projects for Earth Day in honor of 60 years of SCA

With national support from Southwest Airlines and American Express, we are aiming to connect our members, alumni, friends, and partners across the country to create a nationwide network of Earth Month celebrations.

In Sacramento, SCA is bringing a seed ball station to the Sacramento Earth Day Festival at Southside Park.

Sacramento Earth Day is hosted by the Environmental Council of Sacramento (ECOS). The mission of ECOS is to achieve regional and community sustainability and a healthy environment for existing and future residents. Attend the festival to learn about a vast array of methods to live more sustainably. Around 150 organizations and businesses will be exhibiting a multitude of practical information, goods and services that cultivate a healthier, greener way of living. There will be a variety of fun activities to enjoy for the whole family, including live music, interactive educational games and a kids’ area.

Stop by SCA’s booth to create a native wildflower seed ball that will help to bring pollinator populations back to California.

***This event is a public festival — all participants are invited to stop by SCA’s seed ball station to contribute a few minutes of time. If you are interested in helping to lead the activity at the table for the full day, please contact Ally Ratliff at [email protected].***
