New Trails: Public outreach project designed to meet the needs of local and tourist mountain bikers. The Arapaho Trails Crew took lead on this project with support from Arapaho VFC 1 and 2.
Fuel Mitigation: Project’s purpose was to mitigate threat of wildland fire on the National Forest adjacent to private land. Yampa District had oversight of the operations with minimal supervision of Arapaho VFC 2 during the three week project.
Hazard Trees: The reduction of hazardous beetle kill trees was the primary purpose of the project. Arapaho Fire Crew supervised the safe felling of trees for Arapaho VFC 1 and 2 for the two week project.
Campground Restoration: Mission to create and replace natural log barriers on the Saint Louis Campgrounds while disposing of previous barriers. Arapaho Fire Crew provided support vehicles and tools for the week long project.
