We made it to 2017 and, with the aid of so many loyal and generous friends, well beyond our end-of-the-year fundraising goal.
So, in addition to wishing you a very Happy New Year, let me also note how grateful I am for your continuing support of SCA and our young conservation volunteers.
2017 marks SCA’s 60th anniversary. As we look back in celebration of six decades of youth stewardship, we also have our sights set on ambitious new goals for the year ahead.
We will amplify our youth development curricula, introduce new citizen science elements to our urban high school crews, and expand career opportunities for young adults from all walks of life. In these ways and others, SCA is empowering the diverse coalition of young leaders who will protect America’s conservation legacy long into the future.
I will share more on these exciting developments and SCA’s anniversary plans in the weeks and months ahead. For now, from all of us at SCA, please have a Happy New Year!
