Just in time for National Park Week, an inside look at one of the ways we’re working with the National Park Service to build a public lands workforce that’s as diverse as the Americans it serves.
Each spring, SCA and NPS bring together diverse young conservationists from all over the country for weeklong NPS Academy orientation sessions at Grand Teton, Great Smoky, Kenai Fjords, and the National Parks of New York Harbor. Thusly inspired and prepared, participants then spend their summers serving as SCA interns on NPS lands across the USA.
