More than 80 SCA presenters, panelists, members and alumni attend Summer Summits
More than 80 SCA presenters, panelists, members and alumni flew the SCA flag at Outdoor Nation’s recent Summer Summits. As evidence of SCA’s leadership in the youth conservation field, SCA was asked to fill one of three expert positions at events in New York, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Denver and San Francisco, and SCA representatives accounted for 10% of the 500 “outsiders” attending each summit.
Participants worked together to develop new ways of connecting young people with the wonders of the outdoors. SCA presentations included managing field projects, building project teams, and pursuing conservation careers. Summit sponsors included the National Park Service/Dept. of the Interior, DoSomething.org, Mobilize, The North Face, REI, and the Sierra Club.
