SCA NH corps member Michael

•

Michael Bush, a New Hampshire native, was finishing up his bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering when he heard a friend of his was doing a 6 month program in Alaska with the Student Conservation Association. Unsure of where his studies were taking him and wanting a break from the academia of engineering and entrepreneurship, Michael already had a whole slew of projects planned and added the SCA to his list.

After graduating first in his class, biking across the country, and spending three months with an organic farm/Jewish retreat center in CT, he is pleasantly surprised to be back home in the beautiful lands of his upbringing embarking on a new journey of conservation and environmental education. In his time here, he hopes to make new friends, impact many lives, go on many adventures, learn to climb, reacquaint himself with his home state, and plan his next steps, all the while slowing down and cultivating an appreciation for things as they are.
