Some local students are coming together to keep Indiana’s only national park beautiful.
The volunteers are working to preserve the Indiana Dunes.
They are working through the Student Conservation Organization or SCA. It’s a non-profit group whose mission is to build conservation leaders and inspire people to take care of our environment and national parks.
For some of the SCA volunteers, some are local and some are traveling as far as the Chicago area. They’re working to restore Indiana Dunes National Park.
They’re planting, restoring wetlands, and taking away any invasive species like cat tails.
