SCA Chicago Crew at Hegewisch Marsh

SCA Crewmembers in Chicago help clean up Hegewisch Marsh

Photos from a great day of weeding and mulching

SCA’s expanded 2015 Chicago program included more than 125 members – including many underserved teens – who protected city parks, restored habitats at nearby Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, and provided free environmental education to thousands of local school children through SCA’s Urban Tree House. This Chicagoland program expansion was made possible by the generous financial support of BP America, and additional support from partners including the Chicago Park District, Cook County Forest Preserve, Friends of the Forest Preserves and Openlands.

Here are some of the SCA members at work at Hedgewisch Marsh and off Lakeshore Drive.
