New Partnership Saves Students Cash on Textbook Purchases, Donates Up to $100K to Charity
(WASHINGTON, DC) – February 7, 2013 – College students can save money and help save the planet thanks to a new cause-related marketing alliance between the Student Conservation Association (SCA) and CengageBrain.com.
Students, teachers and others who join CengageBrain’s Extra Credit program will instantly receive a 10% discount code for textbook and study guide purchases. The code can be shared with classmates and friends who will also receive a 10% discount. And for every dollar saved , CengageBrain.com will donate $1 to SCA or another charity as designated by the Extra Credit participant, up to $100,000 until June 30, 2014.
“The SCA-CengageBrain partnership is a perfect way to save some green and make the world a little greener. It’s truly a ‘textbook’ win-win,” states SCA Corporate Relations Director Nancy Logan.
SCA, the national leader in youth service and stewardship, annually provides thousands of students with expense-paid conservation internships in national parks, forests and urban greenscapes. Donations from the Extra Credit program, Logan notes, will enable SCA participants to gain meaningful career skills and experience as they help to protect wildlife and habitats on public lands.
