Hey all!! My name is Sarah Ring and I am a spunky, fun-loving, trail tromping goofball. I grew up in the mountainous, canyon lands of the Southwest in Flagstaff, Arizona. I recently graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA with a degree in Biology. I love just about anything that involves getting to play outside and get dirty, but I particularly enjoy backpacking, rock climbing, slack lining, and mountains and rock in general. I’ve previously been a guide for Gonzaga Outdoors leading trips with students and I used to teach a rock climbing class at the local Spokane climbing gym for kids. I’m taking the next year to explore my passions and decide what that next step may entail. I most recently completed my Wilderness EMT and hope to put some good use to that volunteering for a Search and Rescue crew in the near future. Now, however, I’m going to be working for the next few months as an SCA AmeriCorps member with the Forest Service as part of a fantastic crew of Wilderness Rangers in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in the beautiful Cascades of Washington. I’m incredibly excited to get to know a great group of new people, see new sights, and get to serve the greater community while doing it! When I’m not enjoying some sunshine and fresh air I enjoy listening to music, hanging with friends and my dog, and planning the next new adventure!
