My name is Riley Francis and I am 18 years old and recently graduated from high school. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and every winter my family took a trip out to Big Bend in the Chihuahua desert. Because of this I have always had a place in my heart for the desert. After graduating high school I did not want to go straight into academics again and decided that I would take a gap year. The first part of my gap year was teaching English in Turkey for two months and this is the second part. I like just about every outdoor sport and activity that I have tried but have a particular fondness for ultimate Frisbee and biking.
