SCA & NPS working together to build a diverse workforce
SCA helps connect underrepresented Alaskans to public land career opportunities through the NPS Academy. In partnership with the National Park Service, SCA recruits, trains and empowers young adults in Alaska to become future land stewards. They not only connect with their native lands and culture, but also realize the responsibility they have in protecting Alaska’s treasured land.
SCA’s National Park Service Academy Alaska, is an innovative, experiential learning program designed to introduce undergraduate and graduate students, ages 18-35, from under-represented communities to career opportunities with the National Park Service. SCA programs are made possible, in part, by the support of individuals who believe in helping young people realize not only the power and importance of nature, but also the responsibility that they – as tomorrow’s future leaders – have in protecting it. Help us transform more lives and conserve more lands through service to nature. Make a donation to SCA today.
