Northwest Coastal Cleanup Trip

•

Seattle Youth End Season on the Pacific Coast

Old Faithful members headed toward the Kalaloch Lodge ouside of the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park to take part in the 13th annual Washington Coastsavers Coastal Cleanup. Youth spent three days days camping at Kalaloch Campground on the Olympic Peninsula.  During this trip the crew volunteered 40hrs at a Beach Cleanup Event with CoastSavers.  SCA found little Tsunami debris, however other volunteers did find a dock that had washed up on the beach.  SCA youth enjoyed the cleanup event as well as exploring Washington Coast geology and tide pools.  Additional highlights included seeing a whale carcass, hiking by Lake Quinault, and reflecting on their year of service with SCA.
