Current favorite song: New Way by Ana Diaz
The person(s) who inspires me most (are)… my parents
If I could pass a law… I would have everyone travel abroad and participate in an extensive and engaging diversity training.
If I was a shape shifter I’d turn into… a halcyon
My motto: Live with purpose
My most memorable outdoor moment: Trekking in Nepal and waking up to see the sun rise over the Himalayas
What forces, events, or influences in your life inspired you to become a conservationist? When I was younger my family often went hiking and camping in the many National Parks we visited on our cross-country road trips, and so my love of nature and traveling was born. As I grew older I became increasingly interested in the intricate relationship between society and the environment, and my education as an Engineering Studies major was a great way to combine my technical interests with my desire help other people. Like many great people have stated, I believe that climate change is the greatest moral issue of our time and I want to do my part to make the world a better place. Naturally, being a conservationist is a fitting solution and directly in line with my values.
