Megan Reitz @ Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy

•

As a native Californian, Megan came to Pittsburgh hoping to explore the unique ecology of the region while getting a taste of east coast culture. A previous SCA alum with a degree in Earth Science and minor in Conservation and Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, Megan felt the SCA’s Green Cities Fellow program would be great opportunity to grow her experience in a new area. Working with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Megan has gotten to know many of Pittsburgh’s amazing green spaces on a personal level and to truly understand how much value they add to the city at large. In her free time, Megan enjoys gardening, exploring the city on her bike, and discovering Pittsburgh’s rich history. Megan looks forward to sharing the value of Pittsburgh’s parks with local Pittsburghers and newcomers alike.
