Hi! My name is Kellie Waksmunski and I came to the SCA NH Corps from west-central Pennsylvania, where I grew up afraid of bugs, terrified of dogs, and generally uneasy around anything that moved—thus the last few years of my life have been devoted to overcoming these fears. After a summer in the Adirondacks of New York I fell in love with the woods, the northeast, and living in a community and had been eagerly searching for a way back ever since. I recently graduated from Penn State with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Soil Science. I’m a recovering running addict who loves discussing the difference between a creek and a crick, looking at color, dropping the g sound on words that end in –ing, and eating dessert multiple times a day.
