Grissobel – Education and Conservation Team

•

Hola!  There are moments when we walk aimlessly through life without really knowing what’s going on around us. Recognize the feeling? I do. It’s in those moments of awareness that I love to get lost in nature, I see, I slow down and I let go. In doing this I realize many things. I listen, think and sometimes, I’m able to decide my favorite song. Nature teaches me to slow down.  My name is Grissobel Castro and I’m a proud member of the SCA-NH Corps where I’ll be working in Education & Conservation. First thing I’d like you to know is that I like storytelling, so I’ll share a bit of mine. I was born in the enchanted island of Puerto Rico and graduated from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez with a degree in Animal Science and Pre-Vet.  How did I get here? Well, I’m still trying to figure that out, but it’s safe to say that everything started a long time ago, a series of fortunate events that guided me to where I am. During this adventure I would like to tell our story and help educate children of all ages, to inspire them, to work on the land, to awaken curiosity and explore, to guide them through nature, but most importantly, to awaken love and respect for it.  Get lost!
