Tuesday, December 2, 2014 is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to celebrate generosity and giving. It’s a simple, yet powerful idea: find a way to give something back to a cause you care about. Give to make your community, your country, your planet a little bit better. Then, tell everyone how you are giving back, so they too will be inspired to make things better.
SCA’s official airline partner, Southwest Airlines, is doing just that on #GivingTuesday by giving $2,500 to SCA to help continue to provide young people with opportunities to serve the planet. What’s more, they are challenging you, SCA’s fellow friends and supporters, to give an additional $2,500 in 24 hours.
The Challenge: Raise $2,500 in online donations on #GivingTuesday to match Southwest Airlines dollar for dollar.
Why are we doing this?
- Because it’s #GivingTuesday, a day to dedicated to giving back
- Because Soutwest Airlines is donating $2500 and challenging you, their fellow friends and supporters of SCA, to step up and donate an additional $2,500 in support of youth and conservation
- Because without the generosity of partners like SWA and supporters like you, we could NOT go on protecting and preserving our most beloved natural resources.
- Because we all need a healthy planet in order to survive. By helping young conservationists become conservation leaders, SCA is helping ensure the planet’s health for generations to come.
What to do? It’s simple:
- Go to SCA’s online donation form and make a gift of any amount.
- Share the donation form on Facebook or Twitter, and tell your friends why you chose to support SCA on #GivingTuesday 2014.
