My name is Eric Spangle and I am from Upstate New York. I was in the Army for 4 years as a combat engineer. I separated from the army in February 2013. I have done a VFC program before this past summer at Arapahoe National Forest, and decided to do it again because I enjoyed the work and team so much. I enjoy all of the hard work that goes into doing this program and the sense of accomplishment you feel after a tough days work. I am looking to pursue a degree in Forestry, and this program provides valuable work experience in that field.
