I grew up in Lancaster Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University with a degree in geography and geographic information systems (GIS). I have previously been on two SCA crews – once studying visitor use in Washington’s Mount Rainier National Park and the other time as a GIS intern in Alaska’s Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. I like to experience the outdoors in as many and during as many seasons as possible, whether on foot with a backpack, riding a mountain bike, or touring with skis. Although born an easterner, I have lived in a variety of places, and always feels most at home wherever there are mountains.
