I’m currently in my third year at the University of California Davis where I study history and economics. I love the school and the town, which is centrally located in Northern California with almost an equal drive to the snow and coast. I was born in Washington D.C., but my family quickly moved to California, where my parents had grown up, when I was still a child. I grew up in the small and quaint town of Sonoma, which is best know for being wine country. Although a small town, I consider it to be a great place to grow up. I am a huge sports fan, and will root for the 49ers and Giants my entire life. I also pride myself on my love of music, especially classic rock, funk, and Motown. My past few summers have been nothing like this one will be in Klamath National Forest. Most recently, I worked as an intern for Senator Dianne Feinstein in Washington D.C., which was a unique and rewarding experience, but was lacking the hands on and outdoors work I enjoy. I have had family and friend connections to SCA for years, but have never participated in a crew, so I am glad to finally be joining. I hope to gain some valuable conservation skills while being able to enjoy a truly beautiful area.
