Hi everyone!  My name is Brittany, and I spent most of my life in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia.  My college time was spent at Cornell and I got to experience the fun and beautiful outdoors in Upstate New York.  I majored in Chemistry in undergraduate experience before I went onto grad work at Drexel University in Public Health. Last summer was my first experience with the SCA and I loved it!  I worked on Visitor Trail Safety with the National Park Service in Rock Creek Park, a gem in Washington, DC that I did not realize existed.  The fact that there is wilderness in the middle of Washington, DC is one amazing thing about America’s Special Places that astounds me to this day.  I had a lot of fun and could not wait to work with the SCA again.  My main driving motivation is in Public Health!  Specifically I’m interested in Environmental Health and Epidemiology and how it relates to children’s health.  I hope to gain some more experience in some environmental health and do so outside in the beautiful summer weather.  I like to read, write, watch tv, be outside, and have fun new experiences, so I’m looking forward to this summer a lot!
