My name is Andrew Ceniceros. I was born in Phoenix, AZ and have lived part of my life here. I’m Hispanic with big dreams ahead of me. To be a firefighter has always been my dream and now it has become a goal. My high school, Franklin Police and Fire High School, specializes in police and fire programs. I saw fire crews with Phoenix, Tempe, Sun City, etc., and never saw a Hispanic/Mexican on the job. One thing I promised myself was I was going to get the job no matter what it took. Now I’m participating in this program, hoping to become a Wildland Firefighter and get on the hot shot crew. After this program I will move forward with my life as I promised myself.
