Ana is our Green Cities Fellow working with PennFuture. In December 2012 she graduated with a B.A. in Spanish & Environmental Studies from Temple University. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she has cultivated a natural interest in sustainability since she was a child. In her years at Temple she strived to stay active & involved in the local Philadelphia community on campus and beyond. She recently moved to Pittsburgh from Philadelphia to work on the Black and Gold City Goes Green campaign, a project by PennFuture which works to reduce greenhouse gas emission in the city. She brings experience in community outreach having interned for the Philadelphia chapter of Recyclebank, assisting to promote a city-wide recycling program. She also completed an introductory energy auditing training program with Envirolution, a non-profit based in Manhattan. She hopes to further purse a career in sustainability after her service with PennFuture and is considering going to graduate school for city planning.
