Number 1: Watkins Glen State Park
Just gorge-ous! Over the last 12,000 years, the landscape of the Finger Lakes region has undergone colossal change. Watkins Glen State Park is one of the most popular parks in the region. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. Geology (and all) nerds, click the link in our bio to read how the curves, caverns, and cascades of the gorges originally formed. It’s written by Tamara Beal, 2018 SCA Finger Lakes / @nystateparks Intern!
