Yazoo is a 13,000 acre National Wildlife Refuge located in the Mississippi Delta close to Hollandale, Mississippi. This refuge was established in 1936 as one of the links in a chain of refuges that provide for the wintering needs of ducks and geese in the Mississippi Flyway.
As a Yazoo Refuge intern you would be working with wood duck box maintenance and production checks, passerine nest boxes, moist soil management, waterfowl surveys, and other wildlife-related work projects.
