Intern will participate as part of the Wildlife Field Crew in inventory and monitoring of various avian wildlife species including northern spotted owl, barred owl, and northern goshawk during day and night; conduct follow up visits to night time owl responses and bald eagle nest checks; survey for selected mollusk species; Record data on field form and take accurate notes in field notebook; use GPS and map and compass to navigate in a remote forested setting.We are hoping to offer interns other opportunites to participate in wildlife field work such as mist netting/bird banding, Swainson's hawk surveys/banding, and river cleanup.
