Join the staff at Natural Bridges National Monument in providing outstanding service to the public and preserving the land entrusted to us. Natural Bridges is home to three of the world's 10 largest natural bridges found in meandering canyons where Ancient Puebloan people left a remarkable record (ruins/rock art) of their lives. Work consists of staffing the visitor center (60%) where you will be greeting and orienting visitors, providing them with information and interpretation of the resources found here, and handling fee collections. You will also provide a regular overlook, trail, and canyon patrol presence to assist visitors, monitor trail and archeological site conditions while assisting with resource management and maintenance projects (25%). The remaining 15% of your time will be devoted to interprative programming to include development of an evening campground program and a visitor center patio talk or guided hike. Nearby attractions include the Grand Gulch Primitive Area, the Dark Canyon Wilderness, and Lake Powell.This position is NOT eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award.
