Trail work will involve moving and placing boulders, installing trail features (e.g. water bars and steps), creating tread, de-brushing, and placing trail signs. Interns must have a good attitude, be willing to take direction from a team leader, and have fun. Interns must also be physically fit and able to hike 3-5 miles per day with a pack while carrying hand tools. They must be able to bend, lift, raise arms above the head, push, pull, and carry heavy objects. Other activities may include pushing heavy wheel barrows and using common hand tools used for trail work, (e.g. Pulaski, McLeod, shovel, etc.). Fall school schedules can be accomodated.
