Backcountry Steward Internship-Catskill Park R4

In this position perform minor trail maintenance activities; educate the public on the proper use of Forest Preserve and provide information on trail conditions and Rules and Regulations in the Catskills.

Horticulture Intern

Natural Resource Management GIS/GPS Intern

Cape Cod Nat Seashore is seeking a natural resources oriented, skilled, GIS/GPS intern to support natural resource monitoring projects in beach, pond, marsh, and dune habitats.

Air and Water Quality Lab Intern

Starts July 12, 2015 • Cape Cod National Seashore, North Truro, MA

This SCA will conduct environmental related field monitoring (50%) and laboratory analyses (50%), focused on air and water quality.

Roseate Tern/Shorebird Interpretive Intern

Use interpretive techniques to build on existing shorebird education program, develop materials on shorebird conservation, including formal and informal programs, staff a portable display table, present public programs, and develop social media material.

As the North District Interpretation intern at Cape Cod, the majority of time is spent on front-line informal interpretation, interacting with a diverse public audience answering questions regarding park orientation and its natural and cultural history.

Exotic Plant Team Intern

You will identify and inventory non-native and native plant species, eradicate the invasive species through mechanical and chemical treatment, survey invasive plant sites with a GPS unit. Develop maps using GIS and database software.
